2002 Nissan Altima: How to Replace Accelerator Pedal Sensor?


To replace the Accelerator Position Pedal sensor, simply unplug the electrical connector, remove the screws holding it in position, and install the new one.
See the Diagram shown below for its Accurate location:-----

After the Sensor is replaced,it will still not perform,to make the Sensor function right You have to perform a calibration procedure as described below: --------


DESCRIPTION
"Accelerator Pedal Released Position Learning" is an operation to learn the fully released position of the accelerator pedal by monitoring the accelerator pedal position sensor output signal. It must be performed each time harness connector of accelerator pedal position sensor or ECM is disconnected.

OPERATION PROCEDURE
Make sure that accelerator pedal is fully released.
Turn ignition switch "ON" and wait at least 2 seconds .
Turn ignition switch "OFF" wait at least 10 seconds .
Turn ignition switch "ON" and wait at least 2 seconds .
Turn ignition switch "OFF" wait at least 10 seconds .

Once the Relearn procedure is done.All will function right.
