2004 KIA SEDONA: Throttle Position Sensor Test?

Testing procedure for throttle position Sensor Also called As accelerator position Sensor (Aka APS).
It is a sensor located at the top of the gas pedal.
When this sensor is faulty, check engine light comes up and scanning gives error code P0122 THROTTLE PEDAL POSITION SENSOR-A CIRCUIT LOW.

The Procedure to test the sensor, before replacing it to confirm the fault.

Here is a test for the throttle position sensor:
Using Ohmmeter

Disconnect the throttle position sensor connector.
Measure the resistance between terminal 1 (ground) and terminal 4 (sensor
power).
Standard Value : 3.5 - 6.5 kOhm

Measure the resistance between terminal 1 (ground) and terminal 2 (sensor
output).
Operate the throttle valve slowly from the idle position to full open
position and check that the resistance changes smoothly in proportion with the
throttle valve opening angle.
If the resistance is out of specification, or fails to change smoothly,
replace the throttle position sensor.
Tightening Torque
TPS : 1.5 - 2.5 Nm (15 - 25 kg.cm, 1.1 - 1.8
lb.ft)
