This engine uses 0W 20 full synthetic Toyota oil. Your first few oil changes are covered under warranty. If you don't drive that many miles in a given year I would at least change the oil once a year. Or 10,000 miles. If you do a lot of in town driving and live in a severe climate area you might want to consider maybe eight months in time if you're still under the 10,000 mile oil change interval. Make sure that you see your Toyota dealer because these will be done at no cost to you.Its free till there is warranty.
