Using Stop Leak Products?

I will not Suggest to use Stop leak Product in your Vehicle.
The Leaking Rear main Seal has to be replaced.

The problem with stop leak products is that it has a tendency to attack other seals and is only a temporary fix in some cases it can create more problems. It is designed for that temporary quick fix until the car to be sold and traded in or repaired like it should be. In some cases it can cause issues with the variable valve timing if so equipped. If you're planning on having the seal replaced within the next week or two I would have the oil drained and fresh oil put in the car. If you're looking to get rid of the car let it go.


There have been issues with the rear main seal on the engine for this particular model Lexus. Do not attempt to put any additives or stop leaks in the engine oil. This will damaged and cause other issues with the engine. The only way to fix this is to replace the rear main seal.
