It can be issue with Transmission or problem with brakes.
There are many types of such problems noticed.
The issues like:---
rear brakes are grabbing, back brakes grabbing harder than front, Back Brakes Are Grabbing Before Car, Grabbing Brakes, etc etc.
Try this:---
If you manually shift this from the L position to the second and then drive position does the acceleration and grabbing feeling diminish or change?
This could be something related to the transmission if it changed while manually shifting to the low position. I would recommend doing a transmission service and see how you go from there. Have the brakes inspected to make sure that nothing is hanging up or dragging in the brakes causing them to overheat.
